A united queer movement is behind the Pride Arts project which in 2022 will establish one of the world's first centers for queer art and culture. Together with the queer cultural magazine MELK, Pride Art has since 2020 worked with studies of the possibility of creating a permanent exhibition space and living cultural center based on shared use. The time is ripe to extend beyond very resource-intensive, short-term measures and meet a great need in the queer environment for a safe and creative meeting place that the queer population has wanted since the 70s. The plan is to open the center in the official queer cultural year 2022.
