Building queer sacred space

"Pride Art is rebuilding Jacob's church in Oslo for the Queer Spirit festival, which opens on Tuesday 14 February and runs until Monday 20 February. During the day, school classes will be given a tour, and in the evening there are concerts, performances, theater performances, rituals and meditation with queer undertones.

Church council leader Kristin G. Raaum believes the exhibition is overwhelming. - This exhibition has done something to me personally, but also to what the Norwegian church should be for everyone in the country. We have understood that it is not enough to just say sorry for the way the church has treated queers for decades, we must actively act to repair the damage, says church council leader Kristin G. Raaum."
