We welcome Torill!

As part of the development of Pride Art, the board has decided to employ Torill Pallesen in the newly created position of general manager. In addition to being a singer and chairman of Homofonien, Torill is a person with solid management experience from, among others, Handelsbanken, Doctors Without Borders Denmark, Blå Kors Norway and Fri Oslo og Viken. She has an education in HR, finance and management, and thrives best in organizations where development and diversity are paramount.

- The main reason why I wanted this position is that I am convinced that queer art and culture have their own power to communicate in that it touches people's emotions, and not just reason. It is a great honor for me to be able to contribute to the continued fight for queer rights and a society that sees the value in the fact that we are not identical - where we actually embrace diversity.

- Now that Pride Art consists of so many people and is so much more than an exhibition during Pride, the focus on organizational development and the long term is crucial. I am really looking forward to getting to know all the people associated with Pride Art and learning more about a world where the activities have their starting point in art and culture, says Torill, who started the job on 15 March.

Since the exhibition Skape(t) from Oslo City Museum will be set up after Easter, she is already at work as part of the team for this. We are looking forward to Torill leaving his mark on Pride Art!
